Prepare Facebook Page

Facebook Messenger accounts for businesses are associated with Facebook Pages. You have to be an admin of Facebook Page in order to set messaging.

Create a Facebook Page

If you are not assigned to any Facebook Page as an admin, you can create your own Facebook Page.

Turn on Messaging

There are many settings for Facebook Messenger which you can set in Facebook Page settings: greeting text, response assistant or even things which allow you to be discovered by right people (keywords, language, categories, etc.).

The minimum what you need to do is to turn on messaging:

1. Go to your Facebook page on facebook.com.
2. Click Settings at the top of your page.
3. From General part, click on Messages edit.
4. Tick the check box Allow people to contact my Page privately by showing the Message button.
5. Click on Save Changes
